What we are

JH Infotech is a technology studio. We design and build software, put it on infrastructure we understand, and keep it running for the businesses that depend on it.

The work spans five areas that we have found tend to arrive together: an idea that needs an app, an app that needs a backend, a backend that needs a server, a server that needs someone to look after it, and a team that needs someone to ask. Rather than hand each of those to a different vendor, we cover the whole chain, which keeps the responsibility in one place.

We work with small and medium businesses and with teams inside larger organisations, in India and internationally. Most of the work is done remotely, with conversations by email and video call.

How we work

A few principles we keep coming back to.

None of these are unusual. The difference is in whether a studio actually follows them when a project gets difficult.

  • Understand the work before touching the technology

    We want to know who does the task today, where it stalls, and what a good outcome looks like to them. Software built without that is guesswork with a nice interface.

  • Prefer the smaller thing that ships

    A narrow tool in use this month beats a broad platform that is still being finished next year. We scope first phases deliberately small and grow from what is learned.

  • Choose boring technology on purpose

    Well-understood languages, databases and hosting. It is less exciting to talk about and far easier to maintain, hire for and hand over.

  • You own everything

    Code, accounts, domains and credentials belong to you from the start. We document what we build so that you are never dependent on us alone.

  • Plan for the running, not just the launch

    Backups, updates, monitoring and a person to call are part of the design, not an afterthought when something breaks.

  • Say the honest thing

    If an existing product would serve you better, or the problem is a process rather than a tool, we will say so even when it means less work for us.

Where and how

Remote by default, in plain language always.

We serve businesses across India and abroad. Nearly all of the work happens remotely: discovery conversations over video calls, progress shared as working software you can click through, and questions answered by email. We schedule around your time zone rather than ours.

Communication is kept in language a non-technical owner or manager can act on. When a decision has technical trade-offs, we lay them out and recommend one, rather than passing the choice back to you unexplained.
